Pregnant Women

While you are pregnant is a very important time to look after your oral health. Being pregnant increases your levels of oestrogen and progesterone which, in 50% of UK pregnant women, leads to pregnancy gingivitis, which can cause gum disease and increased tooth sensitivity. If you are at all concerned (and even if you don't have any worries) this is a great time to come and see us. If you are having morning sickness it is best delaying your brushing until an hour or so later; in the meantime, have a glass of water until the nausea subsides.
